---Very long review---
I do not own this gun personally but my friend owns this and loves it. Okay, first! I'll tell you about the gun itself. The body is mostly metal, if not all metal. Tokyo Marui says that everything metal on the real gun is metal on this one. The length of the gun is about 30in, so it's a little more compact then the M4 which is 33in and a lot more compact then the M16, about 39in. It shoots around 350-360 FPS with .12g and 280-290 with .20g, I'd advise you to use .20g since .12g fly up (as soon as they leave the barrel they fly up at a 90 degree angle) even with a light breeze. Now onto how well this gun works in a combat situation. We had 6 people on our team including my friend and I versus 8, I was using a Super 9 that shoots about 420-450 FPS using .20g. The other guns used by my team was a Tokyo Marui AUG with 280 FPS using .20g, Classic Army G36K with 330 using .20g, G&G Armament M14 with 330 FPS using .20g and finally a Tokyo Marui MP5-A5 Navy with 300 FPS using .20g. I didn't see the Famas or any of the other guns being used by my team during that round since I was sniping. But on the second round I was against my friend that was using the Famas. I was on a hill with a wide open field below and saw my friend, probably got 2 shots off when he saw me. He glanced over and wasted about half his clip from 100 feet away. This gun says it has an effective range of about 120 feet, that's an understatement! He was shooting up hill on full auto, I could hear the gun shooting and as soon as I heard the shots, I was getting nailed. This gun is so accurate that more then 75% of the bb's shot hit me. I tried all the guns that were used and I'd probably go with mine out of all of them, hahaha no I'm kidding. My Super 9 is good, but when you're up against a bunch of AEG's especially high quality, it's not too good unless your in a giant battefield with a lot of hidden areas. But on a serious note! Out of all those guns I'd go with the M14 the Pros- Good Range, Really High Durability, High FPS and good looks. Cons- Heavy, expensive ($300 more then the Famas) and it's a little big. The Famas was probably the second best gun used by my team in the first round. Yes the G36K and MP5-A5 both have higher FPS then the Famas, but the downside to the G36K is it's like 39in. Now the G36K is about the same length as the M16 and from what I heard, the length is very inconvenient. The G36K is also about $100 more and for what? A bigger gun and higher FPS by 50!? I guess that 50 FPS could help a bit, maybe 20 feet. But if you think about it, instead of paying $100 on that you could buy spare mags, or a good gas pistol. If you compare the MP5-A5 Navy to the Famas, price also falls into play. The MP5-A5 Navy is almost $60 more than the Famas and is only 10 FPS higher. My friend complained about this gun a couple times, he said the Banana Mag would sometimes jam up the BB's so they wouldn't go. The clip would also sometimes just randomly fall out and he on top of that said that if you shove it in too hard it gets stuck. He's gone through 5 mags and has gotten a new gun twice, (Same brand and type) it seems it's either the gun that's causing it or the mags. It's a good size gun, wouldn't advise you to get the swing stock! For some reason it sometimes unlocks itself and swings on its own. If you were to get a stock get a the retractable, you're never really going to use the stock on account of the size so it's good to get a stock that wouldn't be in the way. So all in all, the Famas was probably the best out of all the guns that were there except for the M14. The Famas was very well made! It was durable, my friend never once complained about it. There was only one person who had complained about the gun and that was the guy with the MP5. By the way! High capacity magazines don't work well in the MP5, jams up really fast. For some reason the magazine lets bb's into the gun faster then it shoots, so you'll have about 4 bb's in the gun and it'll have 1 actually shoot.
