This is the NEW Polycarbonate Piston from Systema, which offers improved strength and durability. Developed based on their experience in building high power pistons for their high end PTW series. Systema had tested this thoroughly before releasing it; multiple high-load durability tests were performed on it:

In these test conditions, the muzzle velocity from a 303 mm barrel using 0.2 gram BBs was 570fps (174m/s). The test was conducted for a total of 10,000 shots and the NEW Black piston performed perfectly with no drop in performance! Even after 10,000 shots the piston was still perfectly intact! This information is provided by Systema which ran numerous tests on this piston at their factory in Tokyo.
