KWA KM4A1 review by eagleone of Arkansas Rebel Recon Airsoft ;D :D ;D :D :o :o ;D...that's how I felt when I first fired it! Now let's back up. I received it yesterday from Kastwayairsoft.com, who by the way did a great job in all departments. Rick was very helpful and kept me up to date on the expected arrival of the new KWA's. It shipped fast and was packaged well. I was impressed from the very beginning with the overall look and finish. I have an ICS M4 and the KWA is every bit as nice if not better in this department. The weight is well balanced and feels very good and easy to hold. Everything is very well constructed and well fitting. I did not get the lipoly battery yet as it was shipped on a different day, therefore I used my 9.6V 3,000Mah battery. Please note that this battery will not fit anywhere in this gun, I just wanted to test the FPS and ROF. It chronoed 390 out of the box, and the ROF...well I would like to describe it as a white laser beam that I only wish to view from the trigger end. Simply awesome, and with the 9.6. The ROF was most likely around 1000rpm or more and this gun fires so smoothly and is actually quieter than my ICS M4. I have seen the SAW M249 first hand, and it seems at least that fast already. When I get the LiPoly battery I will post the difference. The clip feeds and winds very well, but the MAG brand mid caps and my ICS M4 clips did not do so well. I tried my A & K 5000rnd box Mag and it worked perfectly. I'll get some photos posted in a day or two. Great gun. Don't get one....I don't want to face it.

KWA KM4-A1 Review by AciDeX of Airsoft Nebraska. 7/16/2010 I have had the new KWA M4A1 for three weeks now purchased from Kastway Airsoft. First impressions were very positive. Great external build quality, and solid construction. No cheap plastic on this baby! Out of the box accuracy was pretty good. Read the instruction manual when you get it! There is a 2,000 round break-in period before this gun will reach its peak accuracy. The booklet gives you easy to follow instructions on how to split the receivers and remove the inner barrel and hop-up which should be cleaned gently with soap and water after the initial break-in period. Now this stock gun gets a range of 200+ feet easily with .28 gram BBs! FPS out of the box was 380-387 with .2s which is just under my fields limit. I’ve just thrown a tightbore and will be putting it to the test tomorrow! Rate of fire with a 9.6v Elite 2000mAh battery is about 1,260 RPMs or 21-ish rounds per second. More than enough for my expectations! If you are looking for compatible midcap magazines check out the Echo 1 “Dogs of War” Metal Midcaps. They are available here at Kastway for $75 bucks for eight of them. Only two of the eight have a little bit of a feeding issue, but pulling them from the magwell and re-inserting them fixes this problem. Overall the KWA KM4-A1 is the way to go if you have the money and want a quality gun that will perform out of the box! I give it Five Stars easy!
