I bought this gun from Kastway about a week ago. When I opened the box I was amazed. The gun is all metal. I have held real AKs and the difference is minimal.
I will start from the stock and work my way foreward. The stock is all metal. I shoulders very well and collapses easily. It is a little crude, but so is the real version. The grip is plastic, but feels very good in my hand. The battery compartment is easy to access and the battery was easy to install. The hop-up works well, however, I may replace it with a Marui hop up unit to maintain accuracy. The siights are metal, but are crude. The real AK has the same sight configuration. The mag is plastic, but has very little mag wobble. The grip is platic, but feels very solid. The front sight is metal. as is the flash hider. However. the bright orange tip is very annoying.
For accesories, I purchased the MAG AK Waffle magazines. The work flawlessly, however the is substantial mag wobble from left to right. I also purchased the Delta Force silencer. It works very well. It is also good because there is no longer the orange blaze tip. The barrell does not go to the end of the silencer though, so I would suggest purchasing a new tight-bore, also for accuracy. I bought the 3rd Gen AK side mount with Double rails, It is very solid. The only problem is that it cannot go the very end of the side rail mount because the front sight blocks it. It is still usable but you cannot remove the battery comartment and cannot fold down the stcock with it on.
All in all a very good gun. It shoots about 350 using the poor mans chrono, and is very accurate. The 600 rd magazine gives you a ton of bb's without having to worry about reloading. The metal body feels very solid. Again, another great product from Echo 1. Kastway also had very good customer service and I will most defidently be ordering from them again.
